From skin-balancing biotechnology and beloved French serums to groundbreaking bronzing
and body washes for those sensitive types, here’s what the 03 team are trying this month.

  1. Sweet tan
Aussie faux bronze brand SugarBaby has launched two groundbreaking new products to ensure you’re tan-ready for summer. For a deep colour, SugarBaby Tan Of The Hour Ultra Dark Instant Bronze ($33) is an ultra-dark instant self-tan crème that instantly tints skin as it effortlessly glides on. For a more gradual glow, Get Glowing Glow Drops (pictured, $27) can be customised by simply adding the desired amount to your moisturiser, serum or oil.
  2. Getting scientific
Created by Kiwi cell biologist and scientist Dr Iona Weir, skin science company Atopis has released two powerful reformulations of its bestselling ranges – the Intensive Restore and Radiant Balance systems – featuring Dr Weir’s breakthrough invention Myrecil, an internationally patented, New Zealand-made biotechnology using all-natural ingredients that works with the body’s inbuilt cellular systems to reverse damage, reduce breakouts, sensitivities and irritations and boost skin health. 3. Bonjour to beautiful skin
Beloved of celebs and already sold out around the world, NZers can now finally get their hands on French favourite Avène’s groundbreaking Hyaluron Activ B3 anti-ageing range (pictured: Concentrated Plumping Serum, $82). Put simply, the range promises to go a step further than just fighting the signs of ageing – instead actually stopping the ageing process spreading to other cells, by using key ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and niacinamide to help re-plump skin that has lost its natural volume.
  4. Here comes the sun
For those days when all your skin needs is a powerful sunscreen plus a hint of colour, Bondi Sands’ new addition to its Fragrance Free range – SPF 50+ Fragrance Free Tinted Face Fluid ($21) – combines broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection with instant skin hydration, with a universal sheer tint for subtle coverage. This ultra-lightweight formula can be worn alone or under makeup and also boasts up to 72 hours of hydration.
  5. Good one
Part of newly relaunched Kiwi body care co Only Good, this creamy Sensitive Coconut Milk Body Wash (900ml, $19) has a nutrient-rich formula designed to nurture and nourish your body – even if your skin is a little touchy. SyriCalm (a natural ingredient derived from mushrooms) reduces inflammation, while prickly pear protects skin and jojoba oil supports the lipid barrier. We’re also partial to the chic packaging – perfect for stylish showers.
