A spring-inspired beauty edit to spring clean your routine with serums, fragrances, blushes and more. Compiled by Hannah Brown

Sweet dreams

For dull dry skin days, the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask ($83.00) is a cure for all, with a vegan and fragrance-free formula that nourishes and soothes the skin with antioxidants and niacinamide. I love using it as an overnight mask to wake up with freshly hydrated skin, but it’s also a great multi-masker that can be used as a face mask or daytime moisturiser.

Luscious lips

If you love a product that serves multiple benefits, the Mecca Cosmetica Lip De-Luscious Glide with SPF 15 ($36) is a match made in heaven. Light on the lips, and offering a sheer and natural colour shine, it’s the perfect on-the-go product to reapply as needed – plus, its loaded with hyaluronic acid and vitamin E.

Soothing sorrows

Spring can be an irritant inducing season for those with sensitive skin issues, which makes French skincare brand La Roche-Posay's line of Cicaplast products extra helpful for soothing any irritation and restoring the skin’s barrier. A stand-out in the line for its many uses is the La Roche-Posay Lipikar Baume AP+ Body Balm ($30), thanks to its formula with pure Shea Butter (20%) and Niacinamide.

Shining sun

If you have been looking for a sunscreen that pairs hydration and protection Korean skincare brand COSRX has provided a match of both with their Aloe Soothing Sun Cream with SPF 50 ($21). Using aloe barbadensis leaf water and a mix of botanical ingredients, it works to protect the skin from ultraviolet rays and increase moisture retention.

Sharing self-care

No self-care night is complete without a facemask, and if your skin is lacking hydration the Patchology ‘Get Dewy With It’ Mega Moisture Sheet Mask ($9.00) will be like a drink of water for your skin. It's infused with hijiki algae, hyaluronic acid and rose of Jericho which work together to revitalise and protect the skin.

Floral love

If you are looking to change up your signature scent, the change of seasons is a great time to do it. I have been loving Dior’s Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet for spring with its floral notes of peony and rose, rounded off with white musk which makes for a beautiful bouquet-inspired fragrance.

Spring clean

When it comes to spring cleaning, there’s one area often neglected in the self-care routine, the scalp. Cue Briogeo’s Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo ($71). It uses binchotan charcoal and plant-based exfoliators to lift away buildup, dead skin, and excess oil that can clog up the scalp and hair follicles – leaving the scalp squeaky clean.

Brighten up

As the sun starts to shine some extra rays, it is the perfect time to incorporate Vitamin C into the morning routine. RAAIE’s Morning Dew Vitamin C serum ($137) uses two types of its hero ingredient Vitamin C to work to give a dewy complexion, even skin tone, and protect against ageing with a unique formula that draws on the resilience of New Zealand botanicals.

Sweet scents

Because of its addictively sweet scent the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream ($37) has quickly built a cult following. It has a deeply hydrating formula with caffeine-rich guaraná extract which brightens the skin while acai and brazil nut oils prevent environmental damage and protect the skin. The signature scent is packed with notes of pistachio, salted caramel and vanilla.

Blush crush

Spring is the perfect time to turn up the blush, and MECCA MAX’s Off Duty Blush Stick ($20) makes it easy to do exactly that. They have a creamy formula that blends like a dream, adding a buildable flush of colour. My favourite colours for the spring palette are ‘Sorbet’ and ‘Pinch’.
